Vivid colors and striking ornamentation
What is special about Heriz is its unique ornament that takes up almost the entire rug. Unlike most others, however, it is formed by geometric and angular shapes rather than rounded floral ornaments. Some master knotters in the nearby city of Tabriz were inspired by this unusual design. The resulting rug is called
Tabriz Naksha rug.

Due to their enormous resistance, some have reached a great age and are already traded as antique rugs. The value is measured by the condition, age and pattern of the rug. Especially in the USA these are very popular.
