Description
Samarkand Rugs: The Samarkand rug takes its name from the Uzbek city of Samarkand. The exceptional quality and the modern, oriental-inspired pattern paired with the colorful character of the rug make it so desirable. They are knotted in best handwork with high quality wool. The firm pile of the Samarkand promises a high durability and longevity of the rug.
Afghan Rugs: Rugs and kilims have a long tradition in Afghanistan. Unlike Persian rugs, Afghan rugs are mostly geometric patterns and calmer colors. The knotting of the rugs is firm and flat pile.
Virgin wool pile : A rug made of real virgin wool makes any interior style more cozy. The virgin wool itself has a very pleasant soft feel and also helps to dampen the sound and regulate the humidity in the room. Due to these properties, the well being with a rug made of genuine new wool increases directly noticeable.
Chain from virgin wool: Hand-spun virgin wool is used by nomads not only in the pile, but also for the warp (the base fabric).
Hand knotted quality: Hand-knotted rugs are true works of art and, depending on the quality, require very good training and a high degree of patience. Knotting by hand makes the rugs much finer, smoother and higher quality than with other methods.
