Kilim Rugs: Kelim rugs, unlike classic oriental rugs, are woven and not knotted. Especially in Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and North Africa kilims are used for centuries and not only as rugs. They are also valued as curtains, cushions and wall decorations in the Orient even today. However, their thin pile and rustic flair also fit perfectly into a modern furnished apartment. With their down-to-earth flair, they bring a pleasant warmth and coziness to your home.

Afghan Rugs: Rugs and kilims have a long tradition in Afghanistan. Unlike Persian rugs, Afghan rugs are mostly geometric patterns and calmer colors. The knotting of the rugs is firm and flat pile.

Virgin wool pile: A rug made of real virgin wool makes any interior style more cozy. The virgin wool itself has a very pleasant soft feel and also helps to dampen the sound and regulate the humidity in the room. Due to these properties, the well being with a rug made of genuine new wool increases directly noticeable.

Cotton chain: Cotton is an excellent warp (base fabric) for a genuine hand-knotted rug, as it is hard-wearing and at the same time can be spun fine and close-meshed.

Hand woven quality: Hand-woven kilims are part of the culture in the oriental countries for centuries. Different methods are used depending on the region. Afghan kilims, for example, can be used on both sides, while Sirjan kilims are embroidered on a base fabric.
