Description

Kurdi Rugs: The Kurdi rug is knotted by Kurdish nomads in western Persia. The nomads, now settled, used to wander between the borders with Iraq and Turkey. The pile of these rugs usually shows geometric diamonds as well as medallion motifs. The colors are predominantly dark and have a natural origin. The robustness and durability make the character of this unique product.

Persian Rugs: Persian rugs are world famous for their quality and beauty. Genuine Persian rugs are hand knotted and the wool is dyed with natural vegetable dye. Characteristic for Persian rugs are also the elaborate patterns in floral and geometric shapes. The most famous provenances in which rugs are knotted are Nain, Sarough, Tabriz, Isfahan, Kashan, Bidjar and Ghom.

Chain from virgin wool: Hand-spun virgin wool is used by nomads not only in the pile, but also for the warp (the base fabric).

Hand knotted quality: Hand-knotted rugs are true works of art and, depending on the quality, require very good training and a high degree of patience. Knotting by hand makes the rugs much finer, smoother and higher quality than with other methods.
